Our Code of Conduct outlines the standards and expectations for everyone who participates in the GlitchRealm community.
Our Pledge
We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone who participates in the GlitchRealm community, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Our Standards
✅ Positive Behavior
We encourage community members to:
- Be respectful and considerate in your communication
- Welcome newcomers and help them get started
- Accept constructive criticism gracefully
- Focus on what is best for the community
- Show empathy towards other community members
❌ Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are not tolerated:
- Harassment, trolling, or discriminatory language
- Publishing others' private information without permission
- Spam, excessive self-promotion, or disruptive behavior
- Any conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to all community spaces, including:
- Game submissions and reviews
- Community posts and discussions
- GitHub repositories and issue trackers
- Social media interactions related to GlitchRealm
- Discord server and other official communication channels
- In-game interactions and chat
This Code of Conduct also applies when representing GlitchRealm in public spaces, both online and offline.
Enforcement
We take violations of this Code of Conduct seriously. If you witness or experience unacceptable behavior:
Reporting Violations
- Report incidents to the development team via email or in-platform reporting tools
- All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly
- The development team is obligated to maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter
- You will receive a response acknowledging your report
Consequences
Community members who violate this Code of Conduct may face temporary or permanent consequences as determined by the development team, including:
- Warning — A private, written warning with clarity about the violation
- Temporary Suspension — Temporary ban from community interactions and services
- Permanent Ban — Permanent removal from the platform and all community spaces
The severity of the consequence will be determined based on the nature and severity of the violation, as well as any prior history of violations.
Our Responsibility
Community moderators and the development team are responsible for:
- Clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior
- Taking appropriate and fair corrective action in response to violations
- Removing, editing, or rejecting content that violates this Code of Conduct
- Communicating reasons for moderation decisions when appropriate
Attribution
This Code of Conduct is adapted from community best practices and is designed to foster a positive, creative environment for all GlitchRealm users.
We believe that by working together and holding each other accountable, we can create a thriving community where everyone feels welcome and valued.
